Tapping into their respective musical histories, Eric Vieweg and Shawn Tavenier have collaborated to create a conceptual songwriting project about their perspectives on love, loss, hardship, adventure and isolation - all conveyed through the lens of the ill-fated Franklin Expedition. 

Shawn and Eric spent much time over many years meticulously developing a considerable tranche of folk rock songs that fit on their recently-released double LP “Lost as Where We Are”. 

Produced with and recorded by Dave Draves at Little Bullhorn studio, much attention was given to both melody and underlying sonic landscape to create a wide and deep sound to complement deliberate and evocative songwriting. 

“Lost as Where We Are” was released in November 2026 to a sold out audience at the NAC’s Fourth Stage.
